Work consisted of milling and demolition and of all existing roads and parking areas through the entire park. Clear, grub, and prepare 180,000 sf of additional surface area for new roads, parking areas, and multi-use pathways. Installation of crushed concrete road base for new roadway, parking areas, and multi-use pedestrian pathways (570,000 sf). Installation of Asphalt Paving (570,000 sf). Construction of a new Ranger Station and Guard Station Gate House with underground utilities and HVAC. Construction of a new 13,000 sf concrete boat ramp and access way facility including 125 lf f sheet piles with tie-back anchoring system and cast-in-place concrete bulkhead. Construction of 28,370 sf of new concrete sidewalk, 485 lf of curbing, 650 lf of 24″ RCP for new storm water system, and 26,800 sf of sod. Design and construction of two new boardwalk trail systems and overlooks.
